Description: We currently have two components for managing apache in use in the School, apache which is fairly basinc and requires a large amount of non-lcfg configuration, and apacheconf which offers a number of desirable features including buit in monitoring of websites via Nagios. This project will deal with the migration of websites currently using the apache component to apacheconf.
Deliverables: A uniform set of website configurations across the School
Customer: School
Case statement: Carrying out this work will improve monitoring of and simplify management of the School's web sites
Status:
Timescales: Time taken will depend on the complexity of the individual websites and the experience of the CO allocated to the project. At a very rough estimate, I would suggest that we allocate 4 weeks to the project.
